Where Creativity Ignites, Conversations Flourish, and Communities Thrive
A New Epicenter Of Creative Expression has opened in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. This dynamic haven for creatives is a sanctuary of boundless artistic expression. Brooklyn Art Haus [BAH] has opened its doors, inviting those with an unquenchable thirst for inventive freedom and impassioned discussions. The brainchild of Co-Executive Directors Isaac Bush and Alex Orthwein. This visionary space has had a triumphantly soft launch in July 2023 and is officially fully opened in August.
It has promised to be an unrivaled platform for artistic brilliance to take center stage. Nestled along Marcy Avenue’s, Brooklyn Art Haus shines as a multifaceted gem. Weaving together the liveness of a performance art arena. And the coziness of a fully-fledged café and bar, along with the sophistication of an art gallery. But that is not all—it is also a nurturing cocoon for growing talents. This creative symphony promises an encounter that defies convention and leaves an indelible mark.
Brooklyn Art Haus + Cafe de Artistes
Embarking on a journey through Brooklyn Art Haus is akin to navigating through an intricate tapestry of stories. The gallery’s highlights feature masterpieces from the likes of Al Diaz, a revered collaborator of Jean-Michel Basquiat, whose brushstrokes defy norms and provoke thought. The emotional rollercoaster “The Rise and Fall… of Jean Calude Van Damme” earns a joyful nod from the New York Times for its youthful exuberance. Adding to the enchantment are the weekly enthralling performances by Cirkus Moxie, weaving an awe-struck spell upon spectators.
The spirit of this creative haven finds its perfect embodiment in Café de Artistes. A place where imagination finds its voice. Conceived alongside Naama and Assaf Tamir of the Lighthouse BK Restaurant, this café becomes a living testament to the collaborative spirit of art. Naama Tamir’s vivid description paints a picture of “a buzzing and sexy new café, but also welcoming, happy, and vibrant.” This dynamic locale sets the stage for global dialogues. And fosters connections within the artistic tapestry and among patrons.
Brooklyn Arts Haus Embraces Sustainability and Social Justice
At the core of Brooklyn Art Haus lie unyielding values of sustainability and social justice, championed by Naama Tamir, Isaac Bush, and Alex Orthwein. Their commitment extends to forming partnerships with BIPOC and women-led suppliers and organizations. And will strike a harmonious chord between creativity and conscientiousness.
Brooklyn Art Haus stands tall as a testament to the resilience of the artistic community, emerging from the challenges of the pandemic. In the words of Isaac Bush, it is a “love letter to the artistic process,” an embodiment of innovation and multiculturalism. It thrives as a haven for dialogue and action, nurturing a culture of equity and support.
Weaving Vision + Ambition to Create a Unique Space
Bush and Orthwein have built Brooklyn Art Haus as a vibrant nucleus for creatives spanning Brooklyn and beyond. At the heart of this dynamic space, their dream unfolds. Cafe de Artistes, evokes European cafe charm and becomes a haven from 9 am coffee conversations to 2 am disco revelries.
It is here that the richness of just-concluded performances melds with Mediterranean delights and carefully crafted elixirs, overseen by the skillful hands of GM Ronnie Pessin. He is known for his mastery at Syndicated Bar and Theater [BK], PYT, and BåcoShop [Los Angeles].
Amid this energetic backdrop, there is an ever-evolving gallery where art and activism intertwine. And shepherded by in-house curators Silvertuna Studios and Collect With Lulu.
Brooklyn Art Haus has a Larger Purpose
But Brooklyn Art Haus is not confined to its captivating performances and riveting art. It carries a larger purpose. With a roster boasting 35+ shows and over 5000 attendees, it has become a thriving nexus of creative expression.
As the curtains rise on this creative odyssey, Brooklyn Art Haus casts its gaze beyond its walls. Aspiring to catalyze change on a societal scale. Collaborations with nonprofits and community organizers seek to channel artistic energy into broader transformational currents. This commitment to weaving art with tangible change, whether it is for Black Lives Matter or education access, positions the venue as a catalyst for inclusivity and awareness.
In a world where art is life breathed into conversations, where creativity breaks all boundaries, Brooklyn Art Haus stands tall as an independent beacon of inspiration. It awaits the open arms of a community it fervently serves, ready to set hearts ablaze with the fire of artistic brilliance.
