Life Rooftop is newly refreshed and outfitted with tasty bites and creative cocktails. Life located in the heart of Manhattan welcomes New Yorkers as we embrace our newfound freedom to socialize responsibly after the Pandemic. A pandemic, so yesteryear as a group of humans perched 29 floors up laughed, ate, and sipped on Monday evening in celebration of Life’s Rooftop Spring Launch.
Overlooking Central Park. The modern designed space is bold and vibrant, sporting complimenting hues of blues, grays, golds, and tans. The gorgeous view was breathtaking as the sun fabulously “set.” And within a comfortable and carefully curated conversational display perfect for a party of ten or two.
It is officially Rooftop season. Life Rooftop caps the top Le Meridien, New York; it is the perfect place to enjoy engaging conversations. And at the same time, a place to sip on an incredibly made Spice Paloma while watching a beautiful sunset.
The Space
Life provides the moment to relax, unwind and immerse in New York City’s (NYC) unique vibe. The stunning lounge and breathtaking terrace equipped with two fully stocked bars offer guests the ultimate escape above the hustle and bustle of one of the busiest cities. It is a place where one can loll in the soaring view of Central Park, rain or shine.
The Menu + Executive Chef
New York native Anastacia Song is Life’s executive chef. She has worked in the hospitality industry for the better part of her adult life after attending medical school and realizing her heart was in the kitchen and not the operating room.
Song began her journey in the Hospitality field as a bartender and became a chef by learning from Chef Harold Moore at Commerce. Subsequently, she became Chef de Cuisine at Jersey City’s Porta for two years. Song later returned to NYC and worked at Martha in Fort Greene and Treehaus in Midtown Manhattan.
Song became Executive Chef for LDV Hospitality’s American Cut in 2018 and found her two true loves: leadership and a great steak.
Disruptive Restaurant Group (DRG) hired Chef Song in 2021 to helm the kitchen at Kumi at Le Meridien, where she harmonized modern Japanese and Korean American cuisines all in one unforgettable ballad to both cultures. She now brings new small plate creations to Life Rooftop this summer.
