295-299 Hicks Street at State Street has been vacant since the 1940s according to Curbed however it won’t be for much longer; the Landmark Preservation Commission (LPC) approved a proposal to build three new townhouses on the lot in Brooklyn Heights. The proposed development was presented back in September and changes were requested.
The project is designed by Krista Demirdache of Nikolai Katz Architect. The four-story, single-family townhouses will feature four bedrooms along with front and rare terraces. Commissioner Frederick Bland who also lives in Brooklyn Heights is quite pleased with the traditional design.
The developer for this project is Heights Advisors.
