Brooklyn Film Festival [BFF]
The Brooklyn Film Festival is set to make a grand return this year, offering a unique blend of online and physical screenings across multiple venues. The primary physical location for the festival will be Windmill Studios in Greenpoint, located at 300 Kingsland Avenue. Additionally, screenings will take place at the Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg, situated at 80 Wythe Ave.
On June 10, after a brief hiatus, the highly anticipated BFF Exchange will be back in action at the Center for Fiction in Fort Greene, found at 15 Lafayette Ave. This exciting event will feature a full day of engaging panels, one-on-one conversations with industry professionals, and captivating works-in-progress pitching sessions.
Simultaneously, from June 2 to June 11, the Brooklyn Film Festival will also provide an online experience accessible through their website. This virtual event will allow movie enthusiasts to partake in the festival from the comfort of their own homes.

New York City is the place to be if you can not get enough movies in the summer. The Brooklyn Film Festival features over 100 films worldwide — this year’s 25th anniversary and many premieres. In addition, everything is from documentaries to animation and other film experiments.
DUMBO Drop: Brooklyn’s Spectacular Block Party
Enjoy the excitement at the fifth annual DUMBO Drop, Brooklyn’s most iconic block party, with a twist. This free, all-ages event on Washington Street is packed with live entertainment, a thrilling DUMBO Archway Kids Zone powered by Brooklyn Bridge Parents, a bedazzling extravaganza presented by Creatively Wild, and a tantalizing taste of DUMBO with its renowned Restaurant Row.
Sip and savor at the lively beer gardens on Washington Street and Water Street. But the day’s highlight is the awe-inspiring spectacle: thousands of toy elephants parachuting onto Washington Street at 6 PM for the classic drop and again at 7 PM for the disco drop. Photoville Festival Opening Weekend
It is the grand opening of the 12th Annual Photoville Festival. Time to immerse yourself in the vibrant community celebration. Taking place on Saturday, June 3, and Sunday, June 4, starting at noon. This unmissable visual storytelling event will be held in Brooklyn Bridge Park. And this year, two full days of exciting activities, performances, tours, and screenings are perfect for the whole family. There is something for everyone.
Leica Camera will lead workshops, and Penumbra is back with its popular tintype portrait booth. This includes a centennial tribute to TIME Magazine, an intimate exploration of Salwan George’s homecoming to Iraq as a Washington Post photographer.
And heartwarming showcases of our local NYC communities by We Build The Block and Magnum Foundation. To top it all off, there is a special preview of “Contact High,” a captivating exhibition highlighting the history of hip-hop photography.
