I didn’t become a fan of Shawn Carter aka Jay Z until The BluePrint – I started to appreciate him as an artist and a businessman. He has since been an inspiration to me, I’m always amazed and interested in his many ventures.

Nicknamed “Aces of Spade” Jay Z has acquired Sovereign Brands’ interest in Armand de Brignac Champagne. While the details of the deal were not disclosed – Jay Z  made Sovereign an offer they simply couldn’t refuse as stated by the global director of brand communication, Yvonne Lardner in an emailed statement to the NYTIMES.

Armand de Brignac is known for its metallic bottle which is handmade at the Cattier Chateau in France with a price tag starting at $300.00 per bottle the Gold bottle made its first appearance in Jay-Z’s 2006 music video for “Show me what you got.”
