Are you thinking of Real Estate Investing – well Brooklyn should definitely be on your list. Everyone wants to invest in Brooklyn is looking for a deal, both Novice and Seasoned Investors alike. Of course for the Novice it’s much more difficult especially when it comes to obtaining funding – you are competing with seasoned investors many of whom have access to CASH which makes it easy for them to access the few deals still available in Brooklyn.
Good News Novice, investing in Brooklyn may have just become a bit easier. CityFunders a new Crowdfunding site, announced it’s the first project in Brooklyn. The property is located in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn – 99 Scott Avenue is a 22,000 sq ft industrial warehouse with a 30,000 sq ft parking lot. I’m not surprised Bushwick was the option for this new project especially since Bushwick has been in great demand of recent. Bushwick is the most logical option to neighboring Williamsburg, offering an investor/developer more bang for their buck. In recent years there’s been a growth in both commercial and residential Real estate – coffee shops and cute little eateries are popping up all over Bushwick.
The property proposed conversion will showcase a mainstay tenant along with a number of smaller retail and commercial tenants. The project has attracted the attention of a slue of future tenants which includes: an event/gallery space, a coffee roasting cafe, a supper club, a brewery, and even a film/photo studio. As for the 30,000 sq ft of parking – the sponsors plan t0 lease a portion of the parking to future tenants and the remaining to a parking lot operator.
I’m excited to see the outcome of this project – Bushwack Capital LLC is a Brooklyn Based Real Estate investment and management firm and is the sponsor of this new project with principals Dawson Stellberger and Jon J. Killkelley both of whom successfully manage other Brooklyn properties.
This is such a great opportunity for people with no experience in Real Estate Investing – I still believe Real Estate is a great investment. For as little as $5000.00 you can invest in your own little piece of Brooklyn. For more information visit the CityFunder’s site.
