Oh Oh here goes my diet! Doughnut Plant makes it debut in Brooklyn on December 3rd – the company first announced the news via their twitter page on June 2nd. The bakery will occupy the former home of Yummy Taco which closed last year – The triangular building which was built in the 1930s is located at 245 Flatbush Avenue at Bergen Street in Perspect Heights.
Brooklyn, we will have access to the bakery’s classics like carrot cake, blackberry jam, tres leches, cinnamon sugar but I’m excited to try the holiday beauties like triple chocolate mint, gingerbread, marzipan, panettone, and pomegranate – Yummie.
With nine locations in Tokyo and two locations in NYC – Mark Isreal was excited to venture to Brooklyn but needed the right location. Mark started the company in 1994 in a basement on the Lower East Side – he baked doughnuts all night and made deliveries in the mornings (hard work pays off – doesn’t it). Doughnut Plant’s mission and passion are to provide the best doughnuts in the world every day using the finest ingredient available and I can say they haven’t been doing such a shabby job.
Visit the new location Dec. 3rd people and make sure you download The Doughnut Plant’s app – you can use the app to pay with your phone and get rewards.
