Sunscreen in Autumn?

Yes Absolutely! Our skin needs to remain protected. So wear your sunscreen during these chilly, gloomy, and moody months. It is a yes for sunscreen in Autumn.

Autumn is the perfect time to recalibrate our beauty regimen—while it is nice to purchase a new moody lipstick or sparkly eyeshadow, I am here to remind you that sun exposure is cumulative; therefore, it is essential to buy the right Sunscreen for Autumn/Winter so let us add a new sunscreen to our Sephora or Amazon shopping carts.

Wearing sunscreen is one of my non-negotiables when it comes to skincare, and it should be one of yours too. I do not know about you, but I am not interested in wrinkles, fine lines, and brown spots. And please do not be like my friend and say there is no Sun in the Autumn and Winter months. It may look cloudy and moody, but the sun does penetrate through the clouds.

What I love about the Autumn and Winter months is the flexibility of sun protection. Although my skin craves more hydration, it is still very oily, and I go down a bit in the SPF levels; I still stay within an SPF range of a minimum of 30 to 50.

Here are six favorites that I love and always rotate, plus a new one with staying power.

La Roche Posay Double Repair Face Moisturizer UV SPF 30

This melts into my face without leaving a white cast. It is creamy and does not make my oily skin greasy.

Black Girl Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30

Black Girl Sunscreen is specifically crafted for women of color. It is nourishing—it gives me added hydration without the greasiness and is unscented.

Dr. Dennis Gross Instant Radiance Sun Defense SPF 40

Since I am not a makeup kind of girl, something with a little tint always elevates my look. I love this option for that. It is blendable and gives me a nice glow of freshness.

Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40

This Supergoop is a fast-absorbing option, but it can be hit or miss with me but still a fave. However, It is moisture-packing and gives a nice glow. However, it can sometimes leave me greasy.

UnSun Mineral Tinted Sunscreen SPF 30

I love this for a few good reasons: I believe it leaves my skin better than it found it, it is made for my medium tone—no white cast. My friend uses this as a primer for her makeup and loves it.

Colorescience Sunforgettable Brush-On Shield SPF 50

This is a staple in my skin routine; you can find one in my purse day or night. It is perfect for touch up during the day and is ideal for getting rid of oiliness if I am out for an evening of fun.

Bonus

Fenty Beauty Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturizer SPF 30, This new Fenty Beauty purchase has not disappointed and has staying power. It is moisture infused, has one of my favorite ingredients [niacinamide], and I am all glowed up for the day.

So be a good girl and wear sunscreen all year, including the Autumn and Winter months.
