Can you decide between soaking up some sun or enjoying a delicious meal? Why not do both at Slate Rooftop? This outdoor oasis is now open again for spring and summer 2023 after being a hit last year at their Williamsburg location. And thanks to sustainable energy sources — think solar panels. You can drink frozen cocktails while feeling good about your carbon footprint.
Located in The Pod Brooklyn Hotel with its entrance on Metropolitan Avenue, Slate Rooftop offers al fresco seating perfect for groups of up to 125 guests and an extensive menu of shareable bites and signature games to keep everyone entertained. And while visiting, visit its new private party space for an additional 200 guests.
Slate Rooftop’s Design
But what sets Slate apart from other Rooftop bars? Their commitment to conservation. With approximately 1800 square feet of solar panels covering both sides of the roof, you can rest assured that this is Brooklyn’s greenest rooftop bar. And if you’re feeling extra eco-conscious, why not take the stairs up to the Rooftop instead of an elevator? Every bit counts. It is time for those who appreciate art to hit up the stairway. Local artists have transformed this space into a haven for creativity — installations can be seen everywhere from ground level until you reach the Rooftop.
Food + Drinks Menu at Slate Rooftop
However, not only visual bliss awaits; Executive Chef Darryl Harmon has crafted a menu sure to tantalize taste buds too. There are plenty of tasty snacks [hello, Chorizo Quesadilla) and hearty burgers (our pick? The Double Smashed Burger]. Do not forget dessert either — Warm Glazed Doughnuts with key lime custard should definitely be on your list. After all that eating and exploring, take a sip of one of their specialty cocktails to quench your thirst. We recommend trying out their Mango Margarita! Quench your thirst with an excellent range of beverages available at this spot.
Draft beers include Bitburger plus two Barrier Brewery selections — Lomax and Kings. At the same time, canned options boast High Noon beverages, among others, like Montauk Summer and Founders Solid Gold. Wine enthusiasts will have their palates satisfied, too; there is no shortage of Sauvignon Blancs, Chardonnays, or Roses to indulge in, along with some Bordeaux reds.
