Halloween is such a fun time – we get to play dress up, eat loads of candy (I’m a candy-corn kinda gal), watch Hocus Pocus and drink cocktails with names like witches brew, the witches heart, black widow smash, etc. And when I say we I really mean me LOL.
Halloween for me is secular and I believe it to the same for many. There are people who celebrate Halloween in a religious context however you won’t find them calling it Halloween. I won’t go into the history or religious aspects of Halloween (not that kind of party here) however I believe around the world Halloween has become quite popular in recent years. It has moved away from it’s religious and supernatural roots and it more influenced by pop culture – just look at the costumes we’ve embraced in recent years.
Well, my dahlings, however you choose to embrace Halloween, is totally your choice but why not do it in spooky style at The Springs. Located in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn The Spring is launching an immersive Halloween pop up.
“Walk of fear” debuts on October 4th and will last until the 31st of October. It will be spooky as heck – The Springs 7,500 enclosed backyard will be transformed into “Walk of fear.” Ominous lighting, horrifying music, creepy vignettes, and frightful entertainment will make The Springs a scary destination for most of October.
It will be scary, spooky and frightening but it’ll be fun and entertaining to kids of all ages – enter if you dare and take a moment to experience The Springs new fall cocktails.
This perfect instagrammble event which requires the purchase of one drink minimum to enter will be the highlight of your October as well as mine – so exciting.
