Women’s History Month has ended. However, Mo’s Bar & Lounge’s commitment to amplifying Black-owned wines and spirits continues as they feature Black Women-Owned wine and spirit tasting. As a result, Mo’s Bar and Lounge carries the most Black-owned wines and spirits in New York City.
The 22-year-old neighborhood bar will partner with the beloved Happy Cork Brooklyn every Tuesday evening in April. Happy Cork Brooklyn is a Black woman-owned local Wine shop and Liquor store owned and operated by Sunshine Foss. Frost teamed up with Mo’s Bar & Lounge to present “Sunshine Suggests,” — a weekly curated program highlighting Black women-owned wine and spirits with complimentary tastings each week.
Sunshine Suggests will highlight four Black women-owned wines and spirits each week starting April 6th, including:
- Anteel Tequila
- Esrever Wine
- Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey
- and one surprise spirit.
Sunshine Suggests complimentary tastings of the wine above or spirits will take place every Thursday in April from 6 to 7 PM at Mo’s Bar & Lounge.
