A Curated Coffee Shop
Although I have the luxury of working from my office, I’m always on the look-out for new coffee shops for those Cafés kinda workdays. There is something truly special about working from a café – there’s that bit of socializing, people watching and the comfort of being out in the world but not really.
Cup of Brooklyn is Bushwich’s new addition – at the busy intersection of Gates Avenue and Broadway the well-curated café has taken up residence. This adorable little spot is owned by a husband and wife team, John and Agnieszka. The duo, John a Gemologist and Agnieszka a jewelry designer wanted to work in an environment where they could interact directly with customers – I believe they have accomplished just that, from the looks of things this new addition seems to have already won the hearts of would-be regulars and it hasn’t been a week since they’ve been opened.
Located at 1071B Gates Avenue, the menu features coffee by Brooklyn’s own Devoción coffee and light bites…such as bagels, light sandwiches, pastries, etc. – there are future plans to provide a more extensive menu to include Italian favorites such as Burrata and wine. Location together with extended hours from 7 AM to 9 PM makes Cup of Brooklyn an absolute WIN.
